The first event took place at Debut Contemporary Gallery this past Saturday. It was a big success in terms of feedback. Everyone involved seemed enthusiastic and enjoyed talking about their work. A huge thankyou to everyone! We all came away with a new piece of art we can display and share within our own creative circles. 

In terms of next time, we might get a membership going, where people need to join. I am working on getting a site set up where people can start to share what they are working on and can get feedback. And, of course, getting right into finding another venue to hold Art Swish again! There was talk as well of making it into an evening event which would build alot more on the social side of swapping prints.

On 17th December, Saturday, 2011 / 11 – 4pm / Debut Contemporary, 82 Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill, W2 5RT

Inviting all artists/illustrators to build a collection of art prints for free in an event held at the Debut Contemporary Gallery in Notting Hill.  The first of its kind, the event will act as an experiment to expand into further events and online. 

The event will involve exchanging an art print and then choosing from a selection of prints by artists from all over the world. All participation is free and offers a great opportunity to get to know the artists and make new contacts.

• Artists are welcome to come anytime between 11 and 4pm with a collection of their own art prints. 

• Art prints are expected to be signed but not necessarily part of a limited run.

• To exchange an art print with another artist the swap must be agreed by both involved. 

• Having a good quality print will improve your chances of swapping with another good quality print. 

• So keep the quality of your print to a standard you would want to collect. 

• Tweet, promote and tell your friends so we can attract a diverse group of artists/illustrators to swap with!
